On the occasion of World cycling Day, a solemn event "Sport - the path to a healthy lifestyle" was held on June 3, at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Iшnstitute

On April 12, 2018, at the initiative of the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed June 3 World Cycling Day. As our national Leader noted, "Our main goal is to develop physical culture and sports, to strengthen a healthy lifestyle." Following the words of the national leader the teachers and students of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction institute, took an active part in the solemn event "Sport - the path to a healthy lifestyle." The aim of festive event, was involving youth in sports, educating physically strong, spiritually rich young people - patriots of their homeland, the musical ensemble “Oguzlar” and the “Bagtyyarlyk Binasy” dance group of the institute performed songs and dances.

Initially, the number of mass bicycle ride held in our country on June 3, has increased from year to year. Most of mass bicycle ride are traditionally led by our esteemed President. This sport event, celebrated internationally for the fourth time, brings together millions of cyclists as an environmentally friendly form of transport. Noting the advantages of the bicycle as a public available kind of transport, its ancient history and versatility, recognized that the bicycle is not only a convenient and economical mode of transportation, but also an important means of strengthening the health and encouraging young people to participate in sports. A new Bicycle monument is erected in the south of Ashgabat at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains.

During the festive event held on June 3 at the institute, words of gratitude to the Motherland, to the President for tireless concern for his people, for the young generation, faithful to national traditions, sincere gratitude for the happy opportunities of getting a good education and for playing sports, wishes of health and longevity were repeatedly sounded and success to the Leader of the Nation in his creative work for the benefit of the people and the prosperity of the state.
