In the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, in the year of "Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses" under the wise leadership of our Esteemed President, extensive work is being carried out to develop and improve the education system. Within the framework of implementing the Concepts for the development of the digital education system and the improvement of teaching natural and exact sciences, as well as efforts to include the country's higher education institutions in the list of international-level universities, the 5th Open International Internet Olympiad in "Strength of Materials" was held at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute on March 18, 2026, among students from domestic and foreign universities via a digital system.
The international Olympiad was opened with a welcoming speech by M. Babayev, Acting Rector of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute.
A total of 877 students participated in the Internet Olympiad, representing the United States of America, Australia, the Federal Republic of Germany, Romania, Malaysia, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Türkiye, Uganda, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as well as relevant higher education institutions of our country.
During this period of harmonious integration of Turkmenistan's education system into the global scientific and educational space, the primary task is to identify talented, creative, and capable youth who are loyal to the Motherland, the people, and the President of Turkmenistan. Expanding the use of digital information and communication technologies allows talented students to participate in subject and project competitions on a large scale. Holding such competitions helps identify gifted youth capable of scientific research and finding independent solutions to complex problems for the innovative technology sectors of Turkmenistan's rapidly developing market economy.
Due to their passion for learning and love for science, our students earn prize-winning places in national and international competitions, raising the prestige of our beloved Motherland. These successes are a clear result of our Esteemed President's efforts toward the harmonious development of the education system.
The 5th Open International Internet Olympiad in "Strength of Materials" proved effective for exchanging experience and strengthening and expanding the scope of international cooperation in the field of education. Professors and teachers from specialized foreign universities participated as jury members.
The Olympiad was conducted in one round. Participants were presented with 6 problems related to the subject, with a total of 120 minutes allotted for solving them.
