Faculty of Chemical Technology

The Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute is aimed at training highly qualified specialists and bachelors in the field of chemistry and building materials. Faculty offers a range of academic programs designed to educate students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in chemical production and materials science. 
The Faculty of Chemical Technology consists of:  dean, deputy dean for academic affairs, deputy dean for scientific affairs, and deputy dean for educational affairs. 71 professors and teachers work at the Faculty of Chemical Technology, 2 of them are associate professors, are cadidates of technical sciences;  1 is candidate of technical sciences, 27 are senior teachers, 27are teachers and 14 are trainee-teachers.

There are 5 departments at the Faculty of Chemical Technology. They are:  

  • “Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances”
  • “General Chemistry”
  • “Industrial Ecology”
  • “Languages”
  • “Physical Culture”

At the department of “Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances” highly qualified specialists are trained in the following specialties:

  • Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances.  This specialty focuses on the production and application of inorganic chemical substances.
  • Chemical technology of refractory non-metallic and silicate materials. Here students study about the technology of silicate materials, ceramics, and other refractory substances. 
  • Machines and apparatus of chemical production and construction materials enterprises. This specialty provides knowledge about industrial machines and equipment used in chemical and construction material industries.
  • Chemical technology of glass and glass-ceramics. In this specialty students get deep knowledge in the production and chemical properties of glass and sitalls (glass-ceramic materials).
  • At the department of “Industrial Ecology” specialists are trained in the following specialty:
  • Metrology, standardization and certification (in industrial sector). In this specialty the students study to carry out organizational-methodological, control-standard, analytical-testing, metrological, and organizational management work in the construction sector of the national economy and other areas in accordance with the specialty.

The faculty also offers bachelor's programs in the following area:

  • Chemical Technology (in industrial sector)

Students in this field receive education in various areas of the chemical industry. The Faculty of Chemical Technology plays a crucial role in developing specialists who contribute to the advancement of chemical and construction material industries in Turkmenistan. 
At the faculty, students, along with theoretical knowledge, also receive production experience. The curricula are designed in accordance with modern requirements and include the knowledge and skills necessary in the field of chemical technology. This allows students to become high-level specialists in their fields in the future.
