Faculty of Computer Technology and Automation

The Faculty of Computer Technology and Automation of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute is aimed at training highly qualified specialists and bachelors in the field of computer technology and information systems. The faculty was established with the aim of training highly qualified engineers in the field of computer technology.
The Faculty of Computer Technology and Automation consists of: the dean, deputy dean for Academic Affairs, deputy dean for Scientific Affairs and deputy dean for Educational Affairs. 58 professors and teachers work at the Faculty of Computer Technology and Automation, 19 of them are senior teachers, 12 are teachers, and 27 are trainee-teachers.

There are 3 departments at the faculty. These departments are:

  • “Computer Technology and Systems”
  • “Microelectronics and measuring equipment”
  • “Informatics and Information Technologies”

Students of the faculty receive education in the following specialties: 

  • “Automated data processing and management systems”. They receive education in various areas of information systems and technologies related to all sectors;
  • “Information technology of software”: This specialty offers education in the areas of web and mobile programming, database management systems, operating systems and software engineering;
  • The faculty also provides education in the following bachelor's degree programs:
  • “Information systems and technologies (in the industrial sector)”: students receive education in various areas of information systems and technologies related to all sectors;
  • “Information security”: This specialty offers education in the areas of cryptography, network security, virus protection, data encryption and cybersecurity;
  • “Computer system software”: - Students receive training in web and mobile programming, database management systems, operating systems, and software engineering; 
  • “Information and Communication Technologies”: This specialty provides training in computer networks, Internet technologies, telecommunication systems, and digital communications;
  • “Information and measuring equipment and technologies”: This specialty provides training in measurement methods, standards, measuring instruments, and measurement systems;
  • “Microelectronics and Semiconductor Devices”: This specialty provides training in new materials, devices, and technologies for electronics;
  • “Industrial Electronics”: This specialty provides training in modern electronic devices, robots, and programming for industry; 

At the faculty, students, along with theoretical knowledge, also receive practical experience. The curricula are designed in accordance with modern requirements and include the knowledge and skills necessary in the field of computer technology. This allows students to become highly qualified technologists and mechanical engineers in their fields in the future.
