Scientific research activity

In our Independent and Neutral state of Turkmenistan, under the wise leadership of the esteemed President, science and technology play a vital role in the development of society. Particular attention is paid to raising the level of knowledge of the population and ensuring harmonious interaction of science, technology and production. Leading universities and research centers of the world are actively seeking to expand cooperation with higher educational institutions and research institutions of Turkmenistan in various fields of science and education.
The Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute (TSACI) successfully interacts with leading universities in India, Belarus, Germany, Romania, Italy, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, the USA, Malaysia, as well as with the European Union within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program. This cooperation is carried out in accordance with the Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding in the field of science and education.
The Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute is a modern and competitive scientific and innovative center that provides scientific support in such industries as architecture and construction, housing and communal services, chemical industry, energy, industry and transport infrastructure of Turkmenistan. In accordance with the "Priority Directions for the Development of Science and Technology in Turkmenistan", approved by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan No. 14488 of November 13, 2015, as well as other regulatory legal acts in the field of science, TSACI, together with the ministries, departments and enterprises of the country, actively conducts scientific research in those areas that are considered the most important for further development.
In recent years, the research activities of the Institute have increasingly focused on the use of innovative technologies.
To ensure effective coordination of research work with the educational process and to improve the quality of training specialists, the Institute conducts research in the following priority areas of science:

  • Nanotechnology, chemical technology, research into new materials and energy;
  • Biotechnology, molecular biology, agriculture, ecology and genetics;
  • Information and communication systems and computer technology.

The main scientific directions of the institute include:

  • Development and implementation of architectural and design projects for residential, industrial, public and other buildings in Turkmenistan;
  • Development of innovative technologies for the production of building materials from local raw materials and their implementation in the construction sector of Turkmenistan;
  • Development of innovative technologies for the efficient production and use of energy from alternative sources;
  • Creation of experimental samples of paving slabs and roofing materials using polyethylene waste and Karakum sand;
  • Development of electronic equipment for measuring high voltages and electric currents, as well as control of technical objects using frequency methods;
  • Development of methods for extending the service life of heat exchangers in heating systems;
  • Conducting scientific research in the field of ecology of natural resources and assessment of anthropogenic impact on the environment;
  • Research of optical and photoelectric properties of porous silicon compounds A3B5 and A2B6;
  • Development of technologies for obtaining coagulants and strontium compounds for water purification using local raw materials.

The introduction of 3D and AutoCAD programs into the educational process, as well as the development of domestic software for the digital educational system are important areas of work of the institute. Also actively improving metal processing technologies using modern machine tools controlled by computer programs, as well as the development of innovative methods of teaching foreign languages for students of technical universities.
The results of scientific research of TSACI are proposed for implementation at enterprises of the construction and industrial complex of Turkmenistan and in other sectors of the economy.
Every year, TSACI organizes scientific and practical conferences and exhibitions dedicated to significant events in the life of Turkmenistan. These events provide scientists of the institute with the opportunity to invite teachers and students of other universities for joint discussion of current problems of our time and issues of implementation of innovations that contribute to the economic growth of the country.
Research staff and students of the institute actively participate in international conferences and exhibitions, annually presenting their work at major international scientific and practical forums held at the state level.
