On March 11, 2026, teachers from the Faculty of Road Construction of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute held a seminar at the Ashgabat Construction Secondary Vocational School titled “The Role of Cartographic Science in the National Economy”.
During the seminar, A. Erkayeva and M. Kakabayeva, teachers from the Department of Geodesy, presented students with concepts regarding geographic and topographic maps, their various types, and map components. They also discussed the procedures for map compilation, the execution of cartographic works, and methods for editing maps used in cartographic research. Furthermore, they introduced new technologies for creating electronic, digital, and computer-based maps.
Currently, the ongoing educational and advisory activities in our Independent and Neutral State of Turkmenistan ensure that our student youth receive a modern education. As a result, such seminars are regularly organized to supplement existing knowledge and ensure that students can develop projects that meet the demands of the modern era.
