As part of the plan approved by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan for 2025 to promote and widely disseminate the meaning and significance of the book “Jewel of the Mind” by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, an educational evening titled “The Jewel of Mind – The Light of Intellect” was held at the Civil Defense Faculty of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction. During this event, it was emphasized that the book “Jewel of the Mind” plays a crucial role in fostering patriotism and humanitarian values among the younger generation by narrating the glorious history of the Turkmen people and their renowned historical figures. It was noted that historical and cultural monuments such as Jeytun, Altyndepe, Gonurdepe, Nusay, Koneurgench, Amul, and Dehistan, recognized as some of the oldest centers of human civilization, hold a prominent place in world history and culture.
In “Jewel of the Mind”, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, states that “Turkmens are a people who have preserved and upheld their national traditions and cultural values. “The book provides scientific insights into the significant contributions of the Turkmen people to the development and advancement of human history, covering the golden ages of the Great Seljuk Empire and the Khorezmshah State, which was located along the Great Silk Road. Military instructors and cadets highlighted the importance Hero Arkadag places on studying the nation’s glorious history and historical-cultural monuments. During the event organized by the Civil Defense Faculty, scholars pointed out that “Jewel of the Mind” presents new scientific perspectives on “Oguznama” and the traditions and teachings of the Oghuz, illustrating the deep spiritual and literary heritage of the Turkmen people, which has been inseparably connected to world literature since ancient times. In particular, the wise words from the book—“By elevating yourself, you become a community; by elevating your community, you become a nation, by elevating your nation, you become the world”, “There is no greater happiness for a person than loving their homeland”, “The highest form of love is patriotism”, and “A life tied to the fate of the homeland is a life of devotion”—serve as guiding principles in nurturing patriotism among the younger generation.
The statement in ”Jewel of the Mind” that “It is necessary to instill love for our past in young people and prepare them to achieve success for the benefit of the people and the homeland” stands as a clear ideological foundation for educational institutions in shaping patriotic and competent future professionals.
The event concluded with musical performances by military cadets. The songs and poetry recited in honor of our beloved homeland’s peace and tranquility resonated as words of gratitude to Hero Arkadag and our Esteemed Supreme Commander-in-Chief, who continue to lead our nation to great achievements and enhance Turkmenistan’s prestige on the global stage.
