On May 6, 2025, lecturers of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction actively participated in an online scientific-educational seminar titled “Methods of Truss Calculations”, conducted by Myrat Garyagdyyev, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Applied Mechanics of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.
During the seminar, the features and types of truss systems widely used in engineering construction, as well as modern methods of calculating them based on load distribution, were extensively discussed. Trusses are highly stable and lightweight structural elements mainly used in industrial buildings, bridges, and various engineering structures. Therefore, their accurate and reliable calculation directly affects the overall strength and stability of a building.
The seminar also provided detailed information on current analytical and graphical calculation methods, along with digital modeling, stress analysis, and deformation calculations performed using computer software. Faculty members emphasized that such seminars are important for improving the knowledge level of construction engineers and integrating new technologies into professional practice.
In addition, the seminar highlighted that cooperation between higher educational institutions contributes to the harmonious development of the science and education sector, strengthens academic relations, and enriches curricula through mutual exchange. Such collaboration creates broad opportunities for the younger generation to receive a modern education and to develop professionally.
