During the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, thousands of our compatriots, along with fraternal peoples, went through the severe trials of war. On the battlefields, they demonstrated unmatched examples of heroism, bravery, true patriotism, and high human dignity for the sake of peace and freedom around the world.
A cultural excursion was organized for the military cadets of the Civil Defense Faculty of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction to the “People’s Memory” memorial complex, one of the most beautiful corners of our capital, Ashgabat, as well as to the “Sanctity of the Homeland” museum located there. The exhibits in the museum left a deep impression on us. This is because the young military cadets take the bravery and fearlessness of our ancestors—who defended the freedom and independence of the homeland—as a guiding example.
The museum exhibits related to Berdimuhamet Annayev—a great teacher, respected man of the people, and courageous soldier whose life path is a model of true patriotism and loyalty to duty for Turkmen youth—especially the historical materials and photographs describing his heroism in the Great Patriotic War, further uplifted our sacred love for our homeland.
By studying the materials in the “Sanctity of the Homeland” museum, the military cadets of the Civil Defense Faculty of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction saw firsthand that no force could bring our valiant ancestors to their knees during the fierce and difficult battles for the homeland. It is a clearly evident truth that our people equated love and loyalty to their homeland with honor and dignity. Learning about the patriotic battles for the stability of the country, the peace and freedom of our people, increases one’s pride in our heroic history and ancestors.
We express our deep gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and our Respected Supreme Commander-in-Chief – Heroic Leader Arkadagly Serdar – for their great efforts to ensure that the younger generation in our beloved Homeland grows up educated, well-mannered, inspired, healthy, professionally skilled, and loyal to our sacred Motherland and beloved people.
