On March 3, 2026, the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute hosted a webinar organized by the Ddepartment of Industrial Ecology of Chemical Technology faculty. The event featured representatives from the scientific community of the Russian Federation: Vladislav Olegovich Dryahlov, Associate Professor of the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Kazan National Research Technological University, and Ramilya Damirovna Sayfutdinova, a postgraduate student from the same department. The webinar focused on the environmental aspects of water resources. The discussion of this urgent problem sparked lively interest and numerous questions from both sides.

Teachers from the department of Industrial Ecology, as well as instructors from other departments of the institute, took an active part in the session. Shamuhammet Saryev, Associate Professor of the department of Industrial Ecology and Candidate of Technical Sciences, delivered a presentation titled "Opportunities for using local sorbents in Turkmenistan's Water Supply" His talk was dedicated to local bentonite as an environmentally friendly sorbent for water purification.
During the webinar, participants also listened to an engaging presentation by Ramilya Damirovna Sayfutdinova. In her speech, she familiarized the audience with the environmental and economic aspects of her research.
The participants exchanged views on the challenges of desalting and purifying saline water through the application of local sorbents. The speakers provided insights into their own research and shared the experience of the global scientific community in addressing these modern environmental issues.
