Faculty staff and students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute organized an educational excursion to the National Museum of Turkmen Carpets.
The museum showcases both ancient and modern carpets from various velayats across the country. There is also one of the world’s largest hand-woven carpets. During the visit, museum staff gave a detailed presentation on how the unique patterns of each carpet reflect the history, traditions, customs, and spiritual values of the people.
This excursion allowed the students to gain a deeper appreciation for our national heritage. Such events provide young people with the opportunity to get acquaintance more closely with the cultural legacy of our Motherland and to take pride in it.
