In the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, in the year “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan - The Homeland of Purposeful winged horses”, as we prepare to celebrate the glorious 35th anniversary of our Independence, our national traditions and holidays are observed with special honor. Among them is the National Spring Festival - International Nowruz Day - the herald of spring. As a symbol of friendship, brotherhood, freedom, peace, and renewal, this holiday holds a special place in the hearts of our people.
At the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, a festive event titled “Nowruz has come to my land sharing with abundance” was held in honor of the National Spring Festival and International Nowruz Day. The celebration took place in a spirit of high inspiration, featuring the preparation of national dishes, traditional Turkmen games, and the “üme” (collective handwork labor of girls) tradition unique to Turkmen women. The event was further beautified by symbols of our awakening nature and beautiful steppes: Turkmen horses, Alabays, and the lambs and kids of the Turkmen spring. National songs and melodies filled the air, as student performances raised the spirit of Nowruz to even greater heights. The dances and musical sets performed by young men and women in national costumes left a delightful impression on everyone. The program also featured compositions showcasing the ancient traditions of our people, including the preparation of the national dish “Semeni” as a symbol of Nowruz’s blessing and prosperity. Such displays further increase the love for our national values among the younger generation. Nowruz is not just a day of joy; it is a holiday that strengthens friendship and unity while bringing warmth to the heart. Events like these contribute greatly to raising youth in the spirit of patriotism.
