On February 18, 2026, a scientific-methodological seminar titled “The Importance of Using the Experience of Senior Scientists in Engaging Young People into Scientific Research” was held at the Chemistry Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. The seminar was attended by scientists, professors, and students from higher educational institutions and research institutes across the country. Bagul Atayeva, a senior lecturer at the Department of Industrial Ecology within the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, delivered a presentation on “The Mentorship Principle in Shaping the New Generation of Our Scientific Community in the Modern Era”. After Rahym Nurmyradov, the first-year student majoring in the “Chemical Technology of Non-metallic and Silicate Materials” at the same faculty, gave a speech on the topic “Innovative method for obtaining construction and agricultural products from technogenic waste”.
The seminar focused on the importance of utilizing the experiences of senior scientists in engaging young people in scientific research, helping them to grow scientifically, and introducing them to new ideas and innovations. Senior scientists, by sharing their experiences and providing guidance, encourage young people to continue their scientific research. This opens the path for young people to gain experience and become more successful in scientific work. The advice and mentorship of senior scientists help to expand the understanding of young researchers and make them more effective in their scientific investigations. Furthermore, it inspires young scientists to find their own scientific path, explore new opportunities, and work on new research and solutions.
