On the 10th of February of the current year for the students of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute was conducted a lecture by Silvia Formenti, Vice President of the Italian company “IDOGI” and Sergio Ferrandi, an architect from “IDOGI”, in the framework of the “Italian Design Days” held in Ashgabat. At the lecture they shared insights of their professional work and experience.

During the lecture, they introduced the students to their architectural and design projects, discussing the intricate details of their work and global best practices. Following the session, the students engaged in an exchange of ideas on various topics of interest within their field of study.

On the occasion of the guests' visit to the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, an exhibition was organized showcasing the results of scientific research and design projects conducted by the professors and students. The guests closely familiarized themselves with the exhibition and the project works. Among these is the design project for the new building complex of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, designed by the institute's faculty and proposed for construction in Ashgabat. Construction of this complex is currently undergoing at a high pace, and the new campus is expected to open in September 2026.

The institute conducts scientific research aimed at solving critical industrial challenges in the country’s priority scientific fields, such as ecology and sustainable resource management, energy, chemical technologies, the production of new competitive products, construction, architecture and seismology, as well as information and communication technologies. To harmonize the integration of science, education, and industry, an IT Scientific-Technical Center was established at the institute. Furthermore, several modern design projects created by the institute's professors and students have already been successfully implemented in our capital city Ashgabat.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the fields of science and education. It is worth noting that the institute already maintains active partnership with such prestigious Italian universities as Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the Polytechnic University of Milan, developing cooperation in scientific and educational activities within the framework of previously signed Memorandums of Understanding.
