In the Epoch of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, it has become a noble tradition in our country to name each year in a modern and meaningful way, following the initiatives of our National Leader, Hero Arkadag. The selection of the magnificent phrase “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – The Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses” as the slogan for 2026 has inspired great enthusiasm among our people. As the Turkmen proverb says, “A horse is a goal of achievement” (At – myrat) our celestial horses are the national pride, and the faithful companions of our people.
Recently, an outreach event was held at the Faculty of Civil Defense of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, in cooperation with the editorial office of the Esger newspaper. The purpose of the meeting was to widely promote the significance of naming 2026 “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – The Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”.
Distinguished speakers included Serdar Myradov, Editor-in-Chief of the Esger newspaper; Amangeldi Orazov, Senior Lecturer and Honorary Elder of Turkmenistan, Amanmyrat Arazow, Head of the Institute's Department of Science; as well as faculty officers Colonel Nuryagdy Akmammedov, Captain Bagul Shamyradova, Senior Lieutenant Mukam Akmammedov, and military student Pirgeldi Rejepov.
The speakers highlighted that under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who continues the noble initiatives of our Hero Arkadag, the tradition of naming each year has become deeply rooted. They noted that today, the ahal-teke horses symbolize the great successes achieved on our Motherland's path of development and transformation. They emphasized that the horse is a herald of new victories for the Turkmen people and spoke of the immense importance of Hero Arkadag’s brilliant books in globally promoting the glory of our "winged" horses and studying their historical legacy.
Indeed, Turkmen horses are the national pride, a precious treasure, and a symbol of our great progress. Just as we say, “A horse is a goal of achievement”, we believe the new year will lead our happy people toward the fulfillment of their highest aspirations. Throughout the centuries-long history of the Turkmen people, the horse has held a special place as a reliable and trusted companion. We firmly believe that under the wise leadership of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, our Motherland will continue to achieve horse-paced development throughout this year.
