On November 13, 2025, Ahmet Penjiyev, Associate Professor of the “Automation of manufacture” Department of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty delivered an online presentation on the scientific topic “Wave Energy Resource Potential of the Gyzylsuw Island of the Caspian Sea” at the XXII International Scientific-Practical Conference organized by the Moscow Energy Institute. The conference focused on power supply, renewable energy sources, and small-capacity energy systems.
Teachers and students of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty also attended the international online conference.
During the conference, presentations were delivered on small-capacity power plants, autonomous photovoltaic systems, hydropower, and achievements and future tasks related to electricity production using solar and wind energy. A mutual exchange of opinions also took place on several relevant topics.
