In the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, creative transformations carried out in every corner of our Motherland demonstrate the nation’s confident steps toward new heights of development. The construction works of the second phase of Arkadag City, which has attracted global interest as the first “smart” city in the region, represent a vivid achievement of this progress.
On 15 November 2025, students of the Road Construction Faculty of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, accompanied by professors and instructors, completed an industrial internship at the roadway construction site implemented by the “ÝEDI ÝER” Economic Society within the second phase of Arkadag City's development, gaining the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical experience.
At present, within the framework of these large-scale construction works, the “ÝEDI ÝER” Economic Society is building the “Ahalteke Atlar” avenue, 10,000 meters long, located between the “Polatly” and “Atly oglan” buildings. Such major projects not only enhance the aesthetic appearance of the city but also serve as a clear example of innovative approaches in the national road construction sector.
By consistently familiarizing themselves during the first phase of Arkadag City’s construction with project implementation processes, construction and installation specifics, engineering and equipment systems, the city’s digitalization, and the monitoring systems of the transport-road infrastructure, TSACI students further enhanced and expanded their professional competencies.
Since Arkadag City is the first smart city in the region, the technological solutions, digital platforms, environmentally friendly methods and harmonized urban design programs used in its construction formed an impressive and highly effective educational environment for the students.
The internship coincided with an important stage of road works on the “Ahalteke Atlary” avenue — the laying of the first layer of the lower roadbed. An experienced specialist of the “ÝEDI ÝER” Economic Society provided detailed explanations of the processes. He emphasized that road construction is not limited to asphalt placement; it requires mandatory preliminary scientific investigations such as geodetic and geological surveys, analysis of seismic conditions, identification of groundwater levels and assessment of soil characteristics.

Based on these scientific data, the project is prepared, after which construction and installation works are carried out strictly in accordance with project requirements. All these stages demonstrate the strong integration of science, education and production.
These activities confirm that road construction is based on high engineering standards, scientific justification and the formation of a long-term foundation for the country’s transport infrastructure.
During the practical training, it was especially noted that under the leadership of the Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar major reforms in the fields of construction, transport logistics, industry and innovation signify a new period in the development of our country.
The construction of transport-road systems, seismically resistant and high-quality structures and facilities throughout the country is an integral part of the large-scale State policy implemented by the Esteemed President. The State Programmes, the introduction of digital systems and the adaptation of international experience to national standards contribute to increasing the economic potential of the country and improving the quality of life of the population.
In forming a firm foundation for these advancements, we must emphasize the significant contribution of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag. His wise initiatives have opened broad opportunities in urban development, road construction, education and digital systems.
Therefore, the students, instructors and all specialists participating in the industrial practical training expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the great opportunities they have created.
