A scientific and educational conference was held at the Faculty of Road Construction

On October 10, 2025, at the Road Construction Faculty of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, a scientific-educational seminar titled “Measures Against Seismic Effects in Residential Construction” was conducted by Jennet Atayeva, a lecturer from the Department of “Construction Materials”.

Taking effective measures against seismic risks is of great importance in Turkmenistan's construction sector.

During the seminar, a detailed presentation was made on modern technologies used in the construction of buildings in the country’s seismic zones, quality standards for construction materials, and how architectural solutions can contribute to seismic resistance. The necessity of using reinforced concrete structures in high-risk zones, strengthening building foundations, and adhering to new construction standards was especially emphasized.

Scientific, evidence-based solutions that could be adapted to Turkmenistan’s conditions — based on comparisons with international practices — were also discussed.

Participants of the seminar highlighted the importance of continuing scientific research on seismic safety, improving the professional qualifications of builders, and introducing new innovative methods into construction practices.
