October 1 is the International Day of Older Persons. For the teaching community, this date carries special meaning: our elders are a living source of wisdom, mentorship, and civic values. In this issue of "Mugallymlar", we present the article “ÝAŞULULARA BELENT SARPA” (“High Respect for Elders”), which highlights the honored place of the elder’s word in our national traditions and its vital role in educating the young.
Our task is to thoughtfully weave the life experience and counsels of the older generation into lessons, extracurricular activities, and school projects. We invite readers to hold “oral history lessons,” intergenerational meetings, and initiatives that strengthen continuity and a culture of mutual respect. By reinforcing the bridge between generations, let us affirm our high esteem for elders—every day, in deeds as well as words.
