On September 15, 2025, under the guidance of lecturer Meredaly Sahedov, a practical training session was held for 5th-year students of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, Department of Architecture, at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.
The session was attended by students majoring in Urban Planning and Settlement Design. The aim of the training was not only to provide theoretical knowledge, but also to familiarize students with modern construction processes and architectural features through direct observation of an ongoing project.
During the session, the students visited a construction site located along Gorogly Avenue in Ashgabat — the new building of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction with a capacity of 5,000 seats, being built by the private company “Ajap-gurlushyk.” This project is considered one of the largest construction initiatives in the country, distinguished by its modern architectural solutions and carefully designed internal layout.
Students received detailed information about the stages of construction, the characteristics of the materials used, the importance of contemporary architectural approaches, as well as the application of international practices in the field. They also learned about the educational significance of the new institute building, the conditions that will be created for students, and the opportunities offered by its academic facilities.
The practical training sparked great interest among the students, allowed them to strengthen their theoretical knowledge in real-life conditions, and became an important step in their professional development as future architects.
