A comprehensive discussion took place with teachers from the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, focusing on the historical significance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This conference, held on the Caspian coast from August 4 to 8, 2025, along with its associated events, was recorded by the “Arkadag” TV channel.
During the discussion, the teachers proudly shared their participation in the international event. They highlighted that the conference's main goal was to expand the economic, transport, energy, and environmental potential of landlocked developing countries, ensuring their full participation in the global trade system. The conference was organized into seven thematic areas, and the core of each was thoroughly discussed. The forums provided a platform to address global challenges, explore new avenues for cooperation, and discuss future projects to be implemented with the support of international organizations. The professors noted that the forums also included a series of political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian events.
The international conference drew a wide range of participants, including heads of 32 states, representatives from 47 small island developing states and 49 least developed countries, as well as high-ranking UN officials and leaders from international and regional organizations, NGOs, and the private sector. The professors also highlighted the crucial role of the volunteer group, composed of students and faculty from the country's higher education institutions, in ensuring the high organizational level of the conference and its related events.
The volunteers provided services to foreign guests, assisting with translation, navigation, information support, and issues of protocol and intercultural communication. They noted that over 300 multilingual students in the volunteer group performed these tasks to a high standard, significantly contributing to the conference's success and gaining valuable international experience.
Additionally, the professors mentioned that over 20 young promoters actively participated in the forum's information support.
Each teacher expressed sincere gratitude to Hero Arkadag and Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their immense contribution to the successful organization of this international conference.
