On August 6, 2025, the Youth Forum held within the framework of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) continued its work with a thematic intergenerational dialogue titled “Building Peace and Trust Bridges for LLDC Futures”. The event took place in the beautiful coastal area of Awaza on the shores of the Caspian.
The 4th-year student of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, and UN Young SDG Ambassador, Yslam Saryjayev, participated in this high-level international dialogue. In his speech, he proudly represented Turkmen youth and highlighted the role of Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality in strengthening the foundations of peace, trust, and multilateral cooperation in the region.
In his address, Yslam Saryjayev, an alumnus of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy under the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), emphasized the special importance of youth-led initiatives in fostering stability and building trust across the region. He also noted that youth are a driving force in creating global solutions.
The forum provided broad opportunities for young people from landlocked developing countries to exchange experiences and ideas. Yslam Saryjayev underlined that such cooperation is a pathway to achieving common goals of peace, mutual respect, inclusion, and sustainable development.
This international LLDC3 Youth Forum not only demonstrated the activeness and potential of Turkmen youth on the global stage but also contributed to enhancing the prestige of our country’s educational institutions in the international arena.
