On May 13, 2025, at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute was held the scientific and practical online conference "Application of Geodetic Equipment in Automation of Topographic Surveys". At the conference the senior lecturer of the “Geodesy” department of the Road Construction Faculty Maksat Ishanov made a speech. During the conference, the characteristics, types and modern methods of calculating truss structures, widely used in engineering structures, were discussed in detail. Trusses are highly stable and lightweight structural elements used mainly in industrial buildings, bridges and engineering structures of various sizes. Therefore, their correct and reliable calculation directly affects the overall strength and stability of the construction site.
The conference also provided detailed information on currently used analytical and graphical calculation methods, as well as digital modeling, stress analysis and deformation calculations performed using computer programs. The speakers noted that such conferences provide an important impetus for civil engineers to improve their knowledge and implement new technologies in their work practice. It was also noted that cooperation between higher education institutions contributes to the development in the scientific and educational spheres, strengthening academic ties and enriching educational programs. Such cooperation creates broad opportunities for the younger generation to receive a modern education and professional development.
