On April 26, 2025, 4th-year students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering visited the construction site of the new academic building of the institute to take a practical lesson. During the practical lesson, students had a wide opportunity to get acquainted with the construction process and features of buildings under construction, namely: economic information that allows them to perform technical and economic calculations related to various economic situations; the ability to justify the economic efficiency of introducing new organizational, technological and engineering solutions in construction and projects, correctly assess the economic situation and predict possible changes in the construction services market; To form a clear idea of the methodology for developing a business plan, competitive and other financial and economic documentation necessary to assess the feasibility of participating in tenders in order to receive orders for the supply of building materials, construction and technological equipment, design, survey, construction and installation works. Students learned that any engineering, business or organizational decision is considered primarily from the point of view of its economic feasibility. They received economic knowledge that allowed them to quickly adapt to modern conditions, especially in the world of business and entrepreneurship, and also learned to work independently and then apply their knowledge in real life situations.
Frequent relocation of construction machinery, equipment, participants in construction companies and work crews to new locations for the construction of buildings is typical, which leads to additional time, financial and material costs that reduce the efficiency of construction companies. Construction uses 50% of industrial production of building materials, about 18% of metal products, 40% of timber, more than 10% of industrial production of mechanical engineering products. Construction covers all sectors of industry in terms of experience.
The students consolidated the fundamental theoretical knowledge they received in practice at the construction site of the new building of the institute.
