ACHIEVEMENTS OF STUDENT-ATHLETES IN SPORTS COMPETITIONS

The participation of Turkmen athletes in major international competitions serves as a vivid confirmation of our country's sports achievements on the global stage and the sports policy of the estemeed President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Serdar Rahimov, a third-year student of the Road Construction Faculty at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, specializing in “Production of building materials, products and structures”, took part in adult judo competitions in the 66 kg category held in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan, from May 3 to 5, 2024. He participated in the Grand Slam tournament in wrestling, where in the history of Turkmenistan he achieved the first place.

Kasym Yazmyradov, a fifth-year student specializing in “Bridges and Transport Tunnels”, won the third place at the 2024 World Championship in Arm Wrestling among youth aged 18-23 in the 88 kg category, held in Buhara, Republic of Uzbekistan, from October 10 to 14, 2024. The winners of the sports competitions were awarded with gifts by the institute's Trade Union organization.
