TURKMEN STATE ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION INSTITUTE

Currently, the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute has 8 faculties and 28 departments, with 4,635 students studying in 10 fields and 34 specialties that meet the requirements of the time. The training of highly qualified bachelors is carried out in 13 areas within 7 educational programs. The institute trains specialists for state and private enterprises and organizations of Turkmenistan in specialized fields, annually graduating more than 759 higher education specialists.

Career Guidance Activities Held at Specialized Secondary Schools No. 77 and 116 in Ashgabat

In order to implement the instructions of the Esteemed President to pay special attention to guiding students toward careers by taking into account their abilities and talents in schools, career guidance activities were carried out during the 2025/2026 academic year. These activities were organized within the framework of the joint work plan between the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction and the specialized secondary schools No. 77 and 116 in Ashgabat, which provide advanced education in exact sciences and foreign languages. Senior lecturer of the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, Meryem Bekmurzayeva, conducted career guidance sessions with graduating students of these schools. To identify young talents, students completed sketch design projects. In addition, meetings were held to guide students in choosing their future professions. Students were also provided with detailed information about the specialties offered at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction. It was emphasized that the institute is a leading educational institution preparing architects, designers, and urban planners capable of designing buildings that meet modern engineering requirements, are highly durable, and resistant to climatic and seismic conditions. These meetings had a strong impact on the graduating students and helped them make informed decisions about their future careers.

Field Training for Students of “Industrial and Civil Construction” on a Large Construction Site

An engaging and impactful field training session was conducted for 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, specializing in “Industrial and Civil Construction.” The session took place at the construction site of the new building complex of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, which is being actively built by the private company “Ajayyp Gurlushyk” under the guidance of experienced lecturers from the “Industrial and Civil Construction” department, Y.Atayev and M.Nuriyev. The company’s specialists provided students with detailed explanations about various situations that may arise on a construction site, labor protection and technical safety regulations, as well as measures for preventing emergencies and actions to take in case they occur. Afterward, the students explored the ongoing construction works in different areas together with the company specialists. A particularly notable feature of the new building complex is its library. Its interior is spacious and open, filled with soft natural light streaming through large windows. The library’s exterior and interior design harmonize with the natural tones of construction materials and soft textures, creating a comfortable environment for both academic and creative activities. Here, students can not only acquire knowledge but also organize their thoughts, develop creative skills, and remain open to new ideas. The library has become the spiritual center of the new building complex and holds special significance for young professionals, providing scientific and aesthetic comfort. The session organized by the department went beyond explaining the technical aspects of construction processes, also fostering students’ problem-solving skills and ability to work in teams. Such field training sessions provide young builders with opportunities to gain experience, strengthen their professional skills, and confidently embark on their future careers.

The Foundation of Prosperity: Building Cities, Uniting Welayats

In the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, during the year “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”, a seminar titled “My Homeland with the Speed of a Stallion” was held with teachers on April 13, 2026. Organized by the Democratic Party of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, the event was held on the occasion of the laying of the foundation of a new, modern township intended for 4,500 households in the Ymambaba gengeshlik of the Yoloten etrap in Mary velayat with the participation of our Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the opening and commissioning of the Mary – Turkmenabat section of the Ashgabat – Turkmenabat high-speed highway.

At the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute was held a scientific-educational conference titled “Improving Road Construction Works”

On April 9, 2026, an online scientific-educational conference titled “Improving Road Construction Works” was organized by a trainee teacher from the Department of “Highway Construction” within the Faculty of Road Construction at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute. The conference was attended by professors, instructors, and students from the country's leading higher and secondary vocational schools. During the online meeting, representatives from the Institute of Engineering-Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev, the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the Secondary Vocational School of Railway Transport in Ashgabat and the Ashgabat Secondary Vocational School of Construction under the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan exchanged professional experiences. Detailed presentations were given regarding the improvement of road construction processes, the sequence of road pavement layers, and the causes of roadbed deterioration.

Educational Seminar Held: “Independent, permenantly Neutral Turkmenistan – A Hub for International Events”

On April 11, 2026, the Volunteer Center of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, in collaboration with the Faculty of Chemical Technology, organized an educational seminar titled “Independent, Eternally Neutral Turkmenistan – A Hub for International Events”. The seminar was held in alignment with the 2026 year motto, “Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses”, and in honor of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s sacred Independence. The primary goal was to provide high-level training for student volunteers for upcoming international events, including Turkmenistan’s chairmanship of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan to be held in Turkmenistan. During the seminar, instructors spoke extensively about the experience gained by student volunteers in international forums, the historical significance of the Consultative Meeting of Heads of State, and the strengthening of Turkmenistan’s international relations. It was emphasized that volunteering is not merely about providing assistance; it is a profound school of life and professional development for students. Volunteers introduce Turkmen hospitality and traditions to the world while broadening their own perspectives by learning about different cultures. The experience gathered at international events serves as a significant “investment” in the students' future professional lives. The nation's support for the volunteer movement ensures that the youth grow into educated, confident individuals well-versed in global practices. FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE: FIELD STUDY SESSION AT THE NEW BUILDING COMPLEX

Recently, a practical field study session was held for students of the Faculty of Civil Defense at the construction site of the institute’s new building complex. This significant educational event was organized and led by the Senior Lecturer of the faculty, Lieutenant Colonel Dovlet Sapardurdyyev. The primary objective of the session was to reinforce the theoretical knowledge students acquired in the classroom within a real-world construction and industrial environment, as well as to refine the professional skills of future specialists. The new complex, being built at a rapid pace and according to the most modern standards, served as an ideal practical platform for the students. Safety Regulations and Engineering Solutions During the field session, Lieutenant Colonel D. Sapardurdyyev provided detailed insights into the implementation of civil defense and emergency prevention regulations within modern construction projects. Students were introduced to the specific architectural structures and the rigorous adherence to safety standards on-site. Particular emphasis was placed on the following key areas: Seismic Stability: Construction methods ensuring the buildings' resistance to earthquakes and the technical reinforcement of reinforced concrete structures. Fire Safety: Engineering specifics of installing fire protection systems and the application of fire-retardant materials. Evacuation Plans: The alignment of exits and staircases with project designs intended for the safe evacuation of people during emergencies. The students did not merely listen to the briefings but were also given the opportunity to closely observe the installation of the buildings' engineering systems. Throughout the session, they engaged with numerous questions. Lieutenant Colonel Dovlet Sapardurdyyev provided precise, comprehensive answers based on professional expertise and real-life examples. In conclusion, this field study session, conducted under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Dovlet Sapardurdyyev, further inspired the students' passion for their chosen profession. This practical lesson at the institute’s future state-of-the-art complex represents a major contribution to training the highly skilled specialists necessary for the prosperous and secure future of our Homeland.

Results Of Implementing The STEM Program

On April 10, 2026, an online scientific-practical conference titled "Organization of Engineering Surveys" was held using the STEM methodology, with the participation of instructors from the faculty of Economics and Management of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute. Leading higher and vocational schools of our country participated in the conference. In particular, instructors from the Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, and the Ashgabat Construction Secondary Vocational School took an active part. Speakers emphasized the importance of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) program as a curriculum that integrates natural sciences, technology, engineering disciplines, and mathematics. Furthermore, it was discussed that this methodology enables students to easily acquire and master knowledge through practical application and a deep understanding of processes. The primary focus of the session was to explain a learning approach implemented by visualizing scientific phenomena in a simple and accessible way. The presentations also included detailed discussions and practical examples regarding modern educational methodologies and the effective implementation of digital economy solutions. In the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, systematic work is being carried out to provide all necessary conditions for the comprehensive education of youth, support talented young people, and create opportunities aimed at their physical and spiritual development. The instructors who participated in the conference expressed their heartfelt wishes to the Hero-Arkadag and our Esteemed President for the success of their initiatives for the benefit of the people and the country during this new era. They wished for the continued prosperity of our Motherland, as well as sound health and long life to our beloved Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

This is done to enhance students’ professional skills and broaden their educational experience. The mosque’s “sacred art” is embodied in every brick, in its intricate mosaics, and in the finely detailed wall decorations. This place is not only visually striking but also serves as a rich center for learning about architectural and cultural heritage.

Science and Production — The Source of Rapid Development!

Under the leadership of the Esteemed President, our country demonstrates rapid growth in all sectors of the economy. On April 8th of this wonderful year, a field study session was organized at a ceramic production facility for the students and faculty of the "Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances" department of the Chemical Technology Faculty at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute. By visiting the production facilities and digital laboratories of the "Eziz doganlar keramika" Economic Society, which are equipped with modern technology, our students reinforced their theoretical knowledge through practical experience. This field session is a clear manifestation of Arkadagly Serdar’s state policy aimed at integrating science with production and developing young people into highly skilled specialists proficient in innovative technologies. The cooperation between higher education institutions and enterprises producing high-quality ceramic products from local raw materials further strengthens the industrial independence of our country. After closely observing the tests conducted in modern laboratories, the students increased their confidence and determination to contribute to the future progress of our nation.

A SEMINAR WAS HELD AT THE ASHGABAT CONSTRUCTION SECONDARY VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

In accordance with Order No. 77 of the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, dated March 7, 2022, “On Ensuring Mutual Cooperation in the Field of Education between Higher and Secondary Vocational Schools”, and as part of the 2026 action plan to provide educational and methodological support to the Ashgabat Secondary Vocational School of Construction, affiliated with the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, a seminar was organized for students on the topic: “Tower-Type Solar Power Plants”. The event was organized by the Department of “Electrical Supply and Electromechanics” of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Today, maintaining ecological purity in Turkmenistan and throughout the world remains a priority. From this perspective, generating “green” clean electricity and developing alternative energy sources are among the most important issues. The seminar concluded with an engaging Q&A session, fostering a productive exchange of ideas between the students and organizers.

Teachers and students from the Mechanical Engineering department on an off-site lesson

On April 8, 2026, teachers from the Department of “Automation of Production” of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, along with students specializing in “Automation of Production and Technological Processes”, conducted an off-site field lesson at the new building complex of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute. Construction of the complex is currently being carried out by the “Ajaýyp Gurluşyk” private enterprise. During the field lesson, the students familiarized themselves with the various types of work being performed across the construction site. The off-site field lesson was particularly impactful in the main building of the new complex, where students observed the actual installation process of elevators in real-time. Throughout the visit, the young students gained valuable insights into the construction, electrical, and automation works taking place on-site and engaged in a professional exchange of ideas with the company's specialists.

THE HOLIDAY OF HEALTH AND SPIRITUALITY

In the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, under the leadership of our Esteemed President, Turkmenistan has transformed into a land of sports and health. Every year on April 7th, World Health Day is celebrated at the state level with grand festivities. To mark this occasion, mass cycling marathons, sports competitions, and various cultural events are organized in every corner of the country. The celebration of Health Day is a clear reflection of the state policy aimed at the physical and spiritual development of our people, and especially our youth. The professors, teachers, and students of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute actively participated in the mass cycling marathon, which is the most significant part of the holiday celebrations. Starting from the “Tigir” (Bicycle) monument in our capital, this marathon not only increased the students' passion for sports but also celebrated unity and healthy living.
