Eco-friendliness and durability: why silicate brick is the future of Turkmen construction

How are modern building materials produced, and why exactly does the future of our country's construction industry stand behind them? Answers to these pressing questions are covered in detail in the latest issue of the prestigious industry journal "TÜRKMENISTANYŇ GURLUŞYGY WE BINAGÄRLIGI" (Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan).

In the first issue of the publication for 2026 — 2026/1/ (45), a large-scale analytical article on the topic "Silicate building materials in Turkmenistan: production, significance, prospects" was published. The author of this publication is the vice-rector for academic affairs of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, Meylis Babayev.

In his work, the author examines in detail the composition of silicate brick and building blocks, emphasizing their high durability, excellent sound insulation, and absolute eco-friendliness. Special attention in the article is paid to the fact that Turkmenistan possesses significant reserves of natural raw materials (quartz sand, limestone, etc.), which creates a solid foundation for the independent development of this industry. Meylis Babayev notes that the active production of silicate products not only fully satisfies the growing domestic demand but also makes a significant contribution to the export potential of our independent neutral state.
