In the framework of the XXV Multipurpose International Exhibition and Conference “White City Ashgabat”, solemnly held in our capital to mark the 145th anniversary of Ashgabat city, Nikolaychik Yuri Aleksandrovich, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) and Shirvel Pavel Ivanovich, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation of BNTU, delivered a lecture to the students of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute. The lecture focused on the educational-methodological activity, scientific research work, and international experience of the Belarusian National Technical University. More than 200 students actively participated in this lecture session.

During the lecture, the Belarusian guests provided the students and faculty members with detailed insights into contemporary architectural solutions, digital innovations, new types of construction materials, and advanced engineering methods applied in urban planning. Information regarding the implementation of “smart city” technologies and sustainable architecture, which directly aligns with the core themes of the international exhibition “White City Ashgabat” being held in the capitala, roused particular interest among the audience.

Within the framework of the presentations, opportunities for expanding scientific cooperation between the two higher educational institutions were discussed. Specifically, the sides emphasized the significance of conducting scientific research in technical sciences, implementing joint scientific projects, and exchanging mutual experience on integrating innovative construction technologies into production.

During the lecture, students and the faculty staff of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute asked questions of interest, leading to an engaging like a question and answer session with the guests. At the conclusion of the meeting, it was confidently noted that the regular organization of such international events and academic mobility programs will greatly contribute to further deepening friendly relations in the field of science and education, as well as advancing scientific training initiatives between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus.
To mark the visit of the guests to the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, an exhibition was organized displaying the outcomes of the scientific research and design projects carried out by the institute's faculty and students. The guests were closely acquainted with the organized exhibition and the design works of the professors and student youth. Among these is the draft design prepared by the institute's instructors for the new campus complex of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, proposed for construction in Ashgabat. Currently, the final phase of construction work on the new complex is progressing at a high pace, and the grand opening of the institute's new facility is expected in September 2026.
The institute conducts scientific research aimed at addressing critical production challenges across the country's priority scientific fields, such as ecology and rational use of natural resources, energy, chemical technologies, manufacturing of new competitive products, construction, architecture and seismology, information, and information technologies.
Within the framework of the visit, an official meeting was held between the leadership of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute and the representatives of the Belarusian National Technical University, during which issues of bilateral cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres were discussed in detail.
The Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute carries out the cooperation with the Belarusian National Technical University within the framework of the Agreement on International Cooperation signed on October 8, 2014, in Minsk, the capital city of the Republic of Belarus.
