A "mentor-student" meeting titled “The Akhal-Teke Horses — a symbol of our Independent Motherland’s rapid steps toward new achievements” was held at Secondary School No. 116 in the capital. The event was attended by school graduates and senior lecturers from the Social Sciences Department of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Turkmen State of Architecture and Construction Institute, Z. Orazova and O. Berdieva.
During the conversation, the participants discussed the profound wisdom of the Hero-Arkadag regarding the special significance of 2026 — the Year of the Horse — and the prominent role of Akhal-Teke horses in the centuries-old history of the Turkmen people. It was noted that, based on proposals from public representatives and citizens, 2026 has been declared the year of “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”.
It was emphasized that in the chronicles of the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, this year will be marked by the implementation of great deeds across all sectors, as the country confidently advances toward new heights of progress under the leadership of the Honorable President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar.
Furthermore, inspiring information was shared about the significance of 2026 in terms of international relations. The year will be rich in global events aimed at ensuring peace, security, and stability, strengthening close dialogue and effective cooperation, and uniting efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Notable highlights include the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Sacred Independence, the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, and the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State to be held under Turkmenistan’s chairmanship of the Commonwealth of Independent States
