AN EFFECTIVE METHOD OF SHARING EXPERIENCE

On February 27, 2026, a teacher Oguljan Ashyrova and a trainee teacher Suleyman Jumageldiyev of the “Social Sciences” department at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute held a meeting titled “The History of the Art of Oratory” with senior students at secondary school No. 77 in Ashgabat. At the beginning of the meeting, O. Annaberdiyeva, the principal of secondary school No. 77, delivered opening speech. She briefed the guests on the schedule of events currently being held at the school within the framework of 2026 being declared as “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – The Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”. She also expressed her gratitude to the guests for providing ongoing methodological support on various topics, as part of the mentor-apprentice partnership established with the teachers of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute.

Following this, our institute’s teachers spoke about how the Turkmen people have long placed great importance on the art of oratory. They explained that the teachings of Oguz Han in the Oguznama epic, which call upon the people to practice unity, courage, and moral perfection, serve as some of the oldest examples of such oratory. Furthermore, they highlighted that the art of rhetoric has always held a central position in the political, military, and cultural life of the Turkmen people, acting as a vital tool in shaping the nation's destiny.

In summary, such meetings are of great significance in upholding the master-apprentice tradition passed down from our ancestors, as well as in sharing valuable historical and cultural knowledge with school students.
