Building the Future Today: A Modern Complex for the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute is Underway in Ashgabat

Construction of the new high-tech campus for the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute is progressing rapidly in the capital of Turkmenistan. Implemented under the motto of the year "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses" and the national strategy "The Motherland is the Motherland only with the people! The state is a state only with the people!", this project is set to become a flagship for architectural and engineering education in the country.

Innovation and Scale
Located along the historic Gorogly Street, the new complex represents a harmonious blend of national architectural traditions and advanced global standards. According to an article by Amanmyrat Arazov, Head of the Science Department of the Institute, published in today’s edition of the "Turkmenistan" newspaper, the facility is designed to accommodate 5,000 students.

The architectural ensemble includes:

  • Four academic buildings equipped with the latest technology;
  • An assembly hall with 1,100 seats for official events;
  • A conference hall with 500 seats;
  • A specialized library, museum, exhibition center, and research laboratories.

"Green" Technologies and International Cooperation
A key feature of the new campus is the integration of "Smart City" and sustainable development principles. The project is being carried out in close cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Turkmenistan. The buildings are designed in accordance with "Green Building" standards, incorporating energy-efficient technologies and eco-friendly materials. Furthermore, the institute is actively working to implement international ISO standards to ensure the highest quality of educational and research services.

Preparing Professionals for the Digital Era
The modern facilities will significantly expand the institute's capacity to train specialists in fields such as:

  • Digital Design and BIM technologies;
  • Geodesy and Road Construction;
  • Energy and Innovative Construction Materials.

As the article emphasizes, the construction of this grand facility was made possible thanks to the dedicated attention of Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, toward the development of national science and education.

The new home for future architects and builders will be more than just an educational institution; it will be a powerful scientific and educational cluster where the energy and creative potential of youth will be directed toward the further prosperity of the Motherland.
