In the modern system of science and education, the role of digital technologies-especially artificial intelligence (AI) technologies-is steadily increasing. From this perspective, the teaching-methodological lesson entitled “The Role of AI (Artificial Intelligence) Technologies in Architecture and Design and Their Application in Project Work”, organized on December 19, 2025, by the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, was conducted at a high level and generated great interest within the academic and pedagogical community.

The lesson was organized under the guidance of experienced lecturers of the Department of Architecture, Äşe Gubayeva and Şirmuhammet Jepbarov, with the participation of students. Faculty members and students from several higher education institutions of the country also actively took part online.

The main objective of the lesson was to comprehensively present the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence technologies in architecture and design, and to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the role of AI in contemporary project work, as well as its significance in enhancing creative and engineering capabilities.
During the lesson, the use of AI technologies in creating architectural projects, digital modeling of urban environments, interior and exterior design, optimization of construction solutions, and saving time and resources was demonstrated through practical project examples. In particular, detailed information was provided on digital design platforms widely used in global architecture today, generative design, 3D modeling, and data-driven solutions.
Throughout the session, participants were not limited to theoretical knowledge alone; they also engaged in extensive discussions on how the creative potential of artificial intelligence elevates architectural thinking to a new level. This proved to be of great importance in fostering innovative thinking among students and improving their future professional training.
The innovative nature of this teaching-methodological lesson was clearly reflected in demonstrating the harmony between digital technologies and architecture, its high-quality online organization, the simultaneous participation of lecturers and students from several higher education institutions, and its delivery under the guidance of experienced specialists.
In the concluding session, participants’ comments and suggestions were heard. They emphasized that the lesson fully met the demands of the present time and noted the necessity of holding such events regularly in the future.
As a result, the teaching-methodological lesson entitled “The Role of AI (Artificial Intelligence) Technologies in Architecture and Design and Their Application in Project Work” became one of the significant steps aimed at developing the digital education system in higher education institutions of the country and training modern specialists in the fields of architecture and design.
This lesson clearly demonstrated the successful implementation of innovative approaches in the education system of Turkmenistan and the provision of conditions for young specialists to become competitive at the international level.
