In accordance with Order No. 77 of the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan dated March 7, 2022, “On ensuring mutual cooperation between higher and secondary vocational educational institutions”, on October 16, Tyllagozel Nurmyradova, a lecturer of the Department of Computer Technologies and Systems at the Faculty of Computer Technologies and Automation, conducted a seminar on programming titled “Introduction to Programming” with the participation of teachers and students of the Ashgabat Construction Secondary Vocational School.
The main purpose of the seminar was to educate and nurture the young generation — the future of our country — in accordance with international standards, to improve the work of secondary and secondary vocational schools, to train young specialists with a high level of professional preparation, broad outlook, determination, and the ability to manage innovative technologies, as well as to assist students in effectively applying new teaching methods and technologies.
During the seminar, students learned about the differences between IT specialists and programmers, the history of programming, and concepts such as punch card, program, code, and compiler. They also became familiar with the types of programming languages and the features of running the first program in each of them.
At the end of the seminar, literature sources useful for learning programming languages were presented. The importance of English language proficiency in coding was emphasized, and the seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session between the lecturer and students, which sparked further interest in the field of programming.
The conducted seminar will inspire and motivate students to learn programming languages, help them become competent and skilled professionals with a broad worldview, and contribute to the development of our country and its achievements in the digital sphere in the future.
