On March 20, 2025, a meeting was held at the conference hall of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute dedicated to the historical speech of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, at the international conference titled “Year of International Peace and Trust: The Role of Interregional Economic Cooperation in Ensuring Sustainable Development”. At the event, Amangeldi Orazov, Honored Elder of Turkmenistan and senior lecturer in the department of “Drawing and Resistance of Materials”, Babajan Bekmurzayev, senior lecturer in the department of “Automation of Production” and Head of the Council of Young Scientists, Ogulbagt Orazdurdyeva, senior lecturer in the department of “Industrial Ecology”; Ahmet Akmuhammedov, lecturer in the department of “Technological Machines and Equipment” and Amanmyrat Atayev, the 4th-year student in the specialty of “Manufacture of Building Materials, Products, and Structures” at the Road Construction Faculty made speeches.
Speakers emphasized that the presence of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, underscored the significance of both the “International Year of Peace and Trust” and the conference itself.
A key objective of Turkmenistan's foreign policy is the advancement of regional cooperation, facilitated through the development of political, economic, and cultural partnerships within its geographical context. The establishment of political, economic, and cultural collaborations within its shared geographical space enables the formation of mutually understanding-based relationships. To this end, Turkmenistan advocates for multilateral regional and interregional cooperation, which is of substantial importance due to its geographical location, the historical commonality with Central Asian and neighboring states, and the specific geopolitical and geoeconomic factors.
