A teacher from the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, along with five other representatives from our country, participated in a seminar on the construction and management of industrial parks for Central Asian countries. The seminar took place in the People's Republic of China from July 17 to 30, 2025.
The seminar was held in the cities of Tianjin and Shenzhen, China. Participants visited the Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone, where they learned about the administrative services for creating and operating businesses through the “Single Window” system. This system has made the issuance of licenses, certificates, and other documents quick and efficient. The seminar provided information on the history of special economic zones worldwide, their legal and economic foundations, and key factors influencing their development. In addition to international insights, participants shared their experiences on the role of these zones in China's economic growth.
The seminar then continued in Shenzhen with a session on “Types and Features of Industrial Park Development”, where detailed information was presented. Participants learned about the emergence of digital and high-tech industrial parks in Shenzhen, their development models, the efficient use of land resources, and their management systems based on public-private partnerships.
Seminar participants also visited the famous Luohu Commercial City in Shenzhen, where they learned about the structure of its trade infrastructure, the connection between domestic and international markets, and the opportunities created for foreign buyers.
In Tianjin, participants were introduced to the spatial plan of the new Binhai innovation district, which features a harmonious arrangement of residential and industrial zones, modern infrastructure systems, and the core principles of sustainable urban development.
They also visited the Eco-City in the Binhai district, a project of Sino-Singaporean cooperation. This city is unique for its use of advanced technologies in areas such as air and water protection, the creation of low-emission industrial zones, and the provision of new energy sources.
