Round Table "System-Based Approaches to Sustainable Development": Advancing Prosperity Through Cooperation

As part of the events dedicated to the Year 2025 and the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality, a round table entitled "System-Based Approaches to Sustainable Development" was held at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction. The event featured the participation of Senior Lecturer of the Department of "Drawing and Strength of Materials" of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, Amangeldi Orazov; Senior Lecturer of the "Industrial Ecology" Department of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, Ogulbagt Orazdurdyeva; and Lecturer of the "Languages" Department, Nabat Garriyeva.

During the round table, participants thoroughly discussed achievements in Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policy, as well as ongoing reforms led by the President of Turkmenistan. Particular attention was given to sustainable economic development, strengthening international cooperation, and enhancing the well-being of the population.

The year 2025 holds special significance in the socio-political and economic development of the country. It coincides with the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s acquisition of the status of permanent neutrality — both of which are being widely celebrated throughout the country. These historic milestones emphasize the growing role of Turkmenistan’s neutral foreign policy on the global stage.

The speakers presented detailed insights into the progress achieved in agriculture, industry, construction, education, healthcare, and environmental protection. Reports presented at a recent Cabinet of Ministers meeting highlighted that the national economy continues to grow steadily, state budget revenues have exceeded planned targets, and large investment projects are being successfully implemented.

Significant achievements have been made in agriculture, while the commissioning of modern industrial facilities has boosted domestic production. Comprehensive efforts are also being made to construct social facilities and to modernize the education and healthcare systems. These measures are aimed at improving the quality of life for the population and ensuring prosperity for all segments of society.

Notable success is also being achieved in the field of foreign policy. In 2025, Turkmenistan has carried out a number of working and official visits abroad, during which key meetings were held and important documents aimed at expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation were signed.

Thanks to the visionary initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the prudent leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, the country’s foreign policy — based on neutrality — has been effectively presented at international forums. These speeches have gained wide support from the global community and have further enhanced Turkmenistan’s reputation as a peace-loving and trustworthy partner.

Thus, the policies pursued by the Turkmen state are aimed at ensuring sustainable development, improving international standing, and advancing national prosperity. The year 2025 will be remembered in the history of Turkmenistan as a year of peace, progress, and flourishing.
