On April 17, 2026, in the Mary region, the fourth phase of the development of the Galkynysh gas field aims to significantly expand the country’s production capabilities. This was stated by the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, who took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation for the new facilities of the field.
Turkmenistan, together with the Chinese oil and gas corporation CNPC, will begin implementing the fourth stage of industrial development of the giant Galkynysh gas field in Turkmenistan. The implementation of this project will make it possible to further unlock the resource potential of the country’s unique underground reserves and, in general, increase Turkmenistan’s energy capacity. This will open wide opportunities for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
In the year declared as “Independent permanently neutral Turkmenistan − homeland of purposeful heavenly horses” this project will contribute to the harmonious development of cooperation between the two countries. Under the leadership of Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar Turkmen–Chinese Friendship “Rapid strides of progress and a happy future” was held in the format of a round table with the participation of teachers of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute.
