On March 31, 2026, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan and the opening of the new building complex of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, the department of “Technological Machines and Equipment” of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering held an online seminar on the topic “Types of Heavy-Layer Surfacing in Welding”.
During the seminar, the main features of thick layer welding deposition, its industrial applications, technical requirements, and implementation methods were discussed in detail.
During the presentations, information was provided on the implementation of innovative technologies and the operation of advanced equipment. Issues concerning surfacing quality, operational reliability, and production cost reduction were explained in detail based on practical case studies.
Teachers from the Institute of Engineering-Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan actively participated in the online seminar. Participants asked relevant questions and shared their experiences.
At the end of the seminar, the main conclusions were summarized, and proposals were put forward for further development of research in this field, experience exchange, and strengthening cooperation.
