GOLD MEDAL

According to the unified calendar plan of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan for 2024, from May 3 to 5, 2024, 8 athletes, 1 doctor and 2 coaches of the Turkmenistan national team took part in the Grand Slam judo competitions held in the city of Dushanbe of the Republic of Tajikistan. In total, 390 athletes from 65 countries took part in the competition. We are glad that our student joined the national team of Turkmenistan.

Rakhimov Serdar, a 2nd year student at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, competed in the weight category up to 66 kg and defeated an athlete from the Republic of Mongolia in the 1st round, a Canadian in the 2nd round, an athlete from the Republic of Tajikistan in the 3rd round, 4th round of the athlete of the Republic of Uzbekistan and won 1st place and a gold medal, defeating the athlete of the Republic of Tajikistan in the final.
