Recently, the Rector of our institute, P. Orazov, received a letter from the director of the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian States, Y. Pimenov.
The letter informs us that the General Assembly of the Association held its 25th anniversary and is pleased to announce that our institute has been accepted into membership of the Association. The news was greeted with joy at our institute and inspired new achievements.
As far as we know, the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian States was created in 1996. The Association includes 55 universities and research institutes from the countries of the Caspian region: Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan. Within the framework of the association, work is underway to develop a unified system of university education, study the ecology of the Caspian Sea, fish farming, study the history and legal issues of the peoples of the Caspian region, as well as protect the environment of the Caspian states.
